The Xeno line of fastpitch bats has been the most popular line of bats from Louisville Slugger in recent years. With the release of the Xeno PLUS; Louisville Slugger has taken the already reliable and trusted performance of the Xeno and improved on it. The FPLXN160 (-10) is for a great option for a player transitioning into a higher level of play or the advanced player that is most comfortable with the (-10) drop weight. Using the common (-10) length-to-weight ratio; the Xeno PLUS (-10) is a very versatile bat. The technology is advanced enough for the elite-level player; looking for a bat to match her level of play. However; with the weight differential being on the lighter side; it makes for a great transitional bat - from advanced youth and travel ball to high school or college. The barrel is composed of Performance PLUS composite with a friction zero double wall design and S1iD aluminum inner disc. The Performance PLUS composite is an improved composite from the previous Pure 360 composite found in older Xeno models. The zero friction design allows for maximum flex and trampoline effect in the barrel. The S1iD technology; a carryover feature from the previous Xeno; allows for a more forgiving barrel and extended sweet spot. The handle is also composed of the resilient Performance PLUS composite; which remains stiff at contact for maximum energy transfer. Connecting the barrel to the hand is the iST joint. This joint is a more classic 2-piece design; as opposed to the radical 3-piece TRU3 design that can be found in the LXT PLUS. This iST technology deadens vibration from the barrel to the handle and gives the batter a more traditional 2-piece feel and consistency. While some technology is carried over from previous Xeno models; the Performance PLUS composite with the zero friction double wall design takes the Xeno PLUS to a new level of performance. The FPLXN160 is the perfect bat for the player that wants to take her game to that next level.
